Art Spotting: Lindsay Cowles
I first discovered abstract painter Lindsay Cowles through a mutual art-loving friend. He’d recently purchased one of the artist’s original works – a decadently vibrant piece fully transformed his traditional dining room. Lindsay’s artwork breathed such life into the space that I simply had to see more. One quick scroll through her website and it was clear why the popular artist is in such high demand! Each piece brings a sense of fun, as though your wall is having a little party for the rest of the room to join. The color combinations are unexpected and eye catching. The textures have wonderful movement and, in a word, her work just makes you feel damn happy!
My own apartment is about to get a touch of Linsday, too! For several months, I’ve had an old mirror acting as a place-holder on my wall while I shopped around for the perfect vibrant painting…and I think my search has come to an end (pause for happy dance)! I’ve fallen head-over-heels for several of Lindsay’s pieces – not to mention, her ability to customize prints! – and can’t wait to bring her brilliance into my little apartment. Hmm…maybe this print:
Or maybe this original:It’s so hard to decide!! Each piece is unique and wonderfully rhythmic, striking the perfect chord that brings a whole room together. I’m excited to share some examples of Lindsay’s work, but she has many, mannnnny more available on her website!
In other news: Lindsay recently unveiled her new wallpaper line, which offers a wide variety of prints and colors to add a little pizzazz to a room. Wrap your room in decadence, darlings!
